Mimi the Angel Visits the Hospital addresses common concerns children have when going through a healing crisis. It was written to alleviate the fears of children who are in the hospital. To support child-life specialists in hospitals and parents, Mimi the Angel Visits the Hospital will reduce kid’s anxieties as Mimi the Angel teaches children what they can expect about surgery. Mimi the Angel Visits the Hospital is a comforting story about a young boy named Daniel who is scheduled for minor surgery. Using whimsical characters like “Ivan the I.V.” and “Steffi the Stethoscope” the story shows children how much support there is in a hospital setting and not to be afraid of the experience.
